For those that don’t know, Stormwind was attacked by DanTup‘s mother, who used her cataclysmal bingo wings to destroy parts of the Alliance city. Wait, I don’t think that’s what happened. Maybe it was horde, maybe it was that fruity Deathwing fella, but whatever happened has made parts of Stormwind look like a weekend at Grimsby’s Ribey Square, but with far less ropey tarts looking to love you long time.

Right, okay, so, er. Yeah.

You know when I said in the previous post that I’ll be posting information on the Cataclysm beta? Well, guess what? I sort of can’t be arsed. There are other sites out there offering the latest information on it, so why should I bother? I know I said it’s to give insights into the overlooked features, but I’m such an apathetic shit.

I even did a video on the sunshafts graphical effect, but I put so little effort into it that I’m not sure if I want my name attached to it. Unfortunately, I uploaded it. See my embarrassment here. Groan.

Due to some serious sucking up by one of the officers in our guild to Blizzard, it appears we’re in the Cataclysm beta! How did we celebrate? By spending two days doing nothing but downloading and patching the Cataclysm client. It was bad. Really bad.

But, enough of that. What’s the beta like so far? Crash-y. With a large dose of disconnect-y. Not forgetting World Server is Down-y. Even more annoying than that is the lack of addons. Addons are completely disabled in the beta, and it’s making the whole experience a gigantic chore. I’m one of those that cannot stand the built-in interface; I despise it, and feel as though it worsens the experience by a large margin.

I’ll be posting information and screenshots on the beta over the upcoming days and weeks, typically things that other sites aren’t showing you. Any excuse to get this site updating again, right?

The last thing I want to do is play another MMO.

So I’ve ordered the Collector’s Edition of Aion. What an idiot. I entirely blame DanTup. It does look bloody nice, though.

Edit: It’s complete bollocks. The developers could’ve had a really good game on their hands, but they have evidently never heard of the word “polish”.

Right, I’m going to fucking well write this. It’s not going to make any difference to anything in the world, but I don’t care. There’s swearing. Be warned, or get the hell out.

I love countering in games. Beat ‘em ups or whatever, I like to wait out the CPU player (not so much humans, as playing in this style makes it a lot less fun for them, and therefore makes you a fun-spoiling cock) and counter-move their arses into the ground. It enlarges my e-peen with manliness.

I’m not entirely sure how I found this site, but randomally hopping between sites while clicking on links that seemed mildly interesting seemed to be somewhat responsible. OCR is a site dedicated to providing high-quality remixes to existing video games.

Not much more to say than that, really. I’m particularlly fond of the Da Bomb Lemmings remix. The built-in Last.FM player doesn’t work for me, so click on the Download MP3 link underneath it if you’re also experiencing the same.

People are jizzing over all of the good bits in GTA IV, so I’m gonna blow a sticky wad on the bad bits. Just because I can. So, despite it being a great game and all (it’s like an updated version of Saint’s Row, woah!), here’s some stuff. Since relaunching the site, I’ve gone a bit soft – so I’m gonna try and up the swearing and ranting quota. Alreet?

Wow, that was unexpected.

For me, the best games I’ve ever played were back in the 16-BIT era from the likes of Sega, on the Megadrive/Genesis. There were so many classic games released like Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Toejam & Earl, Comix Zone, and so on.

What I couldn’t understand was why Sega wasn’t doing updated versions of those games – gamers like myself would have a jizz-fest*. I don’t mean like what Nintendo are doing: constantly re-hashing the same shit over and over again. Just how many damn Zelda games are there, for example?
