learning to drive - part 4: picking another driving school

That previous post didn't go so well, did it?

I chose Red Driving as my driving school, and I regretted it a couple of days later. See the previous post to see why.

Nothing much left to do than just go ahead and pick another school. So I chose my second choice, and that was Rapid Pass. They're not some national company, but a small company with a few offices in the surrounding area. Their lessons sounded exactly what I wanted: 1.5 hour lessons and multiple lessons a week via a semi-intensive course, with more or fewer per week as required.

Spoke to Dennis (who is the owner of RapidPass as far as I know), who went to lengths to work out the best strategy for me to the point of phoning up his instructors after 8pm to see who was available; lots of holidays appear to be happening this time of the year, so my first lesson is in a week.

My first two lessons are on the 19th July. Yeah, two. One at 9am - 10:30am and the other at 3:00pm - 4:30pm. Then another two 1.5 hour lessons on the following Saturday. That'll cover my £50 beginner's course.

I'll do another post next Tuesday with the results of the morning lesson. While I'm posting this, I've booked my theory test for the 27th July. No particular reason for that date other than it being the earliest available. In fact, I may make the next post about the theory stuff as there's something about the hazard perception test that is cheesing me off.
